Hi Jon,

I'm sorry but all boxes are sold out. We still have the individual cards and sets available and we've got the folders... but boxes and cases are all gone.

Cheers,

In the 2008 Select Holographic card No HF 74 is Brett Peake. On the back off the one I have is an upside down back of Brisbane Lions is No 27 Cheynee Stiller. It is definately not two cards stuck together as it is only the thickness of one card.

HI,I have a St.George Illawarra Ben Hornby card, that on back is Luke Covell number HF44.
The front of the card is exactly like the normal Ben hornby card and the back is exactly correct for a Luke Covell card. The card is the same thickness as a standard card so it isn't 2 "glued " together. I have not heard anything about this card before or since I picked this card.

I noticed an error card in the 2008 Classic series that you never mentioned.

Ted Richards of the Sydney Swans, his common card has the letter "A" upside down in the middle of the card in gold foil print.

I totally agree with Daniel H about the Ace authentic grand slam cards. What a great set of cards. Select really need to get there act together in the creativity department. Maybe take some ideas from some of the American companies, who produce some terrific looking cards, and come up with some great ideas for cards.

Its the same crap every year (for NRL anyway, Ive got no idea about AFL), ie. base set, club player of the year, team of the year, medal cards, top prospect, predictor and a few sig redemptions, yawn, yawn, yawn. We are basically collecting the same thing year in year out. Even the base set cards are just dull, surely some action shots or some different subsets could liven it up a bit. Dynamic seemed to be on the right track, back in the day, with there subset ideas.

I would love to see some jersey cards this year, or how about a dual patch or even triple patch jersey card. What about a game used ball card. Something different. Some more jersey signature cards. Dual patch jersey signatures. Something, anything.......

Considering it is the centenary season, surely select has come up with something special (im not holding my breath). A team of the century insert set at least.

Select really need a change. I love nrl but im being steered towards the tennis cards myself, because they are just so damn good. (Like my Federer and Roddick dual match worn gold card. Awesome). There is always something exciting in the box.

But I spose its time to prepare myself for another year of NRL collecting. I can see what my box holds right now, 5 club players, 2 or 3 team of the years, 1 medal, 1 predictor, 1 top prospect.....Anyone else bored yet.
